Meadows to Host Jerome Bettis Blackjack Tournament

The two-day event includes celebrities and benefits the Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation.

 will host the inaugural Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Celebrity Blackjack Tournament later this month. 

The two-day, star-studded event will begin Nov. 18 with a celebrity meet-and-greet and silent auction. Tournament play will begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 19.

In addition to The Bus, participating sports celebrities include Pittsburgh Steeler Hall of Famer Franco Harris, Pittsburgh Pirate Hall of Famer Bill Mazeroski, former Minnesota Vikings Hall of Famers Carl Eller and John Randle and former Vikings Pro Bowlers Chuck Foreman and Chris Doleman—along with former Cincinnati Bengal Ickey Woods. Also participating will be former Pittsburgh Penguin Pierre Larouche.

“We’re proud to welcome Jerome Bettis to The Meadows and are looking forward to the exciting competitive play,” said Sean Sullivan, vice president and general manager of The Meadows. “This promises to be a great event with a who’s who of sports legends and big prizes, half of which will benefit the Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation."

A $300 buy-in includes tournament play and the celebrity meet-and-greet with up to 32 celebrities, including Jerome Bettis. Players will have a choice of $100 Slot FreePlay or Table Match Play on Nov 19.

A $48,000 prize pool will also be a part of the excitement.
