News Nearby: Oktoberfest Wedding Winners Announced

The couple will be wed at the annual Canonsburg Borough celebration.

It will be a celebration fit for a bride and groom—and the lucky couple has just been announced.

Jamie Penderville and Charles Harn will tie the knott at Oktoberfest in September.

Penderville, of McDonald, is the daughter of Rosemary and James Penderville; and Charles Harn, of Fredericktown, is the son of Laura Smith and Clifford Harn, read about a wedding essay contest online decided to enter.

They won. And may be expecting 10,000 guests!

On Sept. 18 at 2:30 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Bavarian Oktoberfest on Central Avenue and Pike Street in downtown Canonsburg, the winning couple will be married by Judge John DiSalle.

And everyone's invited.

The couple will be the first to begin this tradition at the Pennsylvania Bavarian Oktoberfest. 

Both soon-to-be bridge and groom have strong ties to the Canonsburg area. 

Jamie is a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and is finishing her degree in Criminal Justice at California University. Charles attended Beth Center High School and Penn Commercial.
