Peters Township Unveils New Website

Residents will find the new format easier to use, township Manager Michael Silvestri says.

Peters Township Manager Michael Silvestri announced plans for a website upgrade at the in April. Last Monday, the new site was unveiled.

Residents are seeing a more user-friendly, stylish page—with colorful photos and script—highlighting the township's amenities.

Most of the original content is still featured—just in a more organized way, Silvestri said.

Residents will notice new features such as contact information for staff employees under the Departments tab, as well as a link to Silvestri's blog.

Things are easier to find, he said. "Rather than adding more and more to the homepage we linked items in the scroll menu on the left."

The newer style of site expands appropriately to all computers and laptops, which also makes an easier read, he said.

The Citizen Action Line (where residents can make suggestions, complaints, etc.) is now more visible, he added. It's located on the right side of the homepage, but also in quite a few links within the site.

Despite a few technical difficulties, Silvestri sees the site as currently in "fairly decent shape." Peters Township Assistant Manager Tom Gromek is the man in charge.

He and Silvestri are eager to receive resident feedback. If something's missing, or perhaps there's a new feature you love, email MASilvestri@peterstownship.com or ManagersAssistant@peterstownship.com, or call 724-941-4180.
