Plan for a Purrfect Sunday at the Trolley Museum

Frank the Trolley Cat is featured in the August issue of "Cat Fancy," which calls for a celebration to support the Washington County Humane Society.

Some may dub him the region’s most famous feline, as he graces the August issue of Cat Fancy. To the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, he’s the mascot, and—most importantly—family.

The Washington County Humane Society and the museum are partnering Sunday to celebrate Frank’s editorial endeavors with a party, and to collect cat food and other necessities.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Frank the Trolley Cat and author Kellie Gormly will mingle, pose for photos and sign autographs (not Frank, of course). The day of family fun includes a bounce house, face painting, cookie decorating and bubble fun!

Magician Billy Heh will bring his magic, and balloon art will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with antique streetcar rides cruising throughout the day.

“Kindness to Animals” classes will be offered at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. by the humane society.

Rita’s Italian Ice, a food vendor and a picnic area will be available on museum grounds.

Admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors (62+), $6 for children (ages 3-15), and ages two and under are free. Bring 5 lbs. of dry cat food or 10 cans of cat food for a two-for-one admission, as well as a family pass with the adoption of a shelter cat in need of a home.

See you there!
