Port Authority Reroutes for Great Race

The Port Authority will detour buses and change stops along more than 30 routes on Sunday during the 34th annual Richard S. Caliguiri Great Race.

The Port Authority will detour buses and change stops along more than 30 routes between 4:45 a.m. and noon on Sunday during the 34th annual Richard S. Caliguiri Great Race in Pittsburgh.

Most of the temporary route changes will be on streets Downtown, Uptown, Oakland and Squirrel Hill, according to the Port Authority. The race, which is closed to registration with a field of 14,500 entrants, begins at 8 a.m. in Oakland for the 5K run/walk and 9:30 a.m. in Frick Park for the 10K run. Both races end Downtown in Point State Park.

Two additional bus routes will operate during the race, the 5K and 10K, to provide service between Downtown and Oakland, and Downtown and Squirrel Hill.
