eLoop partners with area businesses to assist customers in responsibly recycling electronic equipment at no charge. This partnership comes in advance of the Pennsylvania Covered Device Recycling Act (CDRA), which requires that all desktop computers, monitors, laptops, computer hardware and televisions be recycled instead of disposed of in the trash. While the CDRA takes effect January 2012, free drop offs are under way—just in time for the holidays and the onslaught of new electronics.
“The thought of used Christmas lights being carted off to a landfill after bringing joy to so many people just didn’t seem right to us," said Ned Eldridge, president and CEO, eLoop llc. “So this year, area residents can toss their old or broken lights into the pile with other electronic equipment needing to be recycled, and we’ll take care of all the rest.”
