Wind gusts reached 53 mph in Peters Township Monday.

The strongest wind gust in Pennsylvania Monday was in McMurray, according to the National Weather Service.

A wind gust was measured at 53 mph just after 1 p.m. To put that in perspective, wind speed at 75 mph is a hurricane.

The wind advisory has expired. Forecasters are predicting a chance of snow for the Peters Township area on Wednesday.
