Strongest Wind Gust Felt in McMurray

Wind gusts reached 53 mph in Peters Township Monday.

The strongest wind gust in Pennsylvania Monday was in McMurray, according to the National Weather Service.

A wind gust was measured at 53 mph just after 1 p.m. To put that in perspective, wind speed at 75 mph is a hurricane.

The wind advisory has expired. Forecasters are predicting a chance of snow for the Peters Township area on Wednesday.
