Traffic Restrictions Temporarily Lifted for County Fair

The Meadowlands exit will be open to assist Washington County Fair traffic.

PennDOT is advising motorists of the temporary opening of Exit 40 (Meadowlands), in order to assist traffic going to the Washington County Fair—Aug. 13-20.

According to PennDOT, the restrictions will be lifted by the close of business on Aug. 12, and will be put back in place on Aug. 22.

The lifting of the traffic restrictions will allow northbound traffic to exit Interstate 70 at Exit 40 and proceed on Pike St (Route 1009) to Country Club, and then to the fairgrounds.

PennDOT said traffic leaving the fairgrounds will also be able to reverse that route back to Exit 40 and use the southbound ramp to access Interstate 79 South.
