WashingtonWalking Launches New Website

The new site allows users to track 10 other physical activities aside from walking, calculate calories burned, and start or join local walking groups.

With nearly 900 members, WashingtonWalking was in need of a website upgrade to keep up with its growing membership and changing online community, according to program project coordinator Lindsey Smith.

WashingtonWalking is a program belonging to Washington County Health Partners, Inc., a local non-profit organization.

"The new site is much more interactive and offers a lot of new features," Smith said in a statement. "Our goal is that the new site will encourage more community members to join and get active!"

The new and improved website serves as an expansion of the old website. Users are still able to create a free health profile and track their daily activities.

The new site, however, also allows users to track 10 other physical activities aside from walking, calculate calories burned, and start or join local walking groups.
