Energy Audits Discussed at Peters Twp. Public Library

Everyone in attendance at this Oct. 16 event will receive a $25 discount toward an ENERGY STAR audit, and a CFL light bulb.

Recent studies of 100,000 homes have found that 85 percent of them have critical problems adversely impacting the quality of life of their occupants in the areas of health, safety, comfort or affordability, according to a news release from the Peters Township Public Library.

On Wednesday, Oct. 16, that library will host Richard Rothaar of Conservation Consultants, Inc. (CCI), for a 7 p.m. presentation of "Energy Audits: The Path to a Safe, Healthy and Comfortable Home," in which Rothaar will share some of the common health and safety problems found in homes and explain the benefits of receiving a home energy and safety audit.

Everyone in attendance will receive a $25 discount toward an ENERGY STAR audit, and a compact fluorescent lamp, or CFL, light bulb to begin immediate energy savings.
