Farmhouse Coffee Debuts Breakfast Sandwich

Ham, cheese and two farm-fresh eggs on a buttery croissant was added to the menu.

Last June, to the lunch crowd, and now the coffeehouse is catering to breakfast lovers one step further.

In addition to a wide variety of specialty lattes, coffees and pastries, the hearty breakfast sandwich made its debut this weekend. Ham, cheddar cheese and two farm-fresh eggs fill a buttery croissant—each sandwich piping hot and made to order.

The new menu item sells for $4.99, and in my opinion, is large enough to split. The baristas conveniently package the sandwich in a container, perfect for those on-the-go.

And if you're a dinner-for-breakfast type of person, the staff will gladly make the sandwich for you any time of day.

A Farmhouse employee told Patch the eggs are from a local farm in Jefferson Hills—and can be purchased separately. In fact, customers have been purchasing the eggs by the dozen from the coffeehouse for years.
