Theft, Attempted Burglary Reported in Peters Township

The attempted burglary was reported Tuesday.

Peters Township police are investigating an attempted burglary of a home that was reported Tuesday.

Police said a resident who lives in the 100 block of Lutz Road told police that when he returned home from work Tuesday, he discovered that the window in one of his bedrooms had been busted out.

Police said it appeared as though someone also attempted to pry the frame from the window.

Entry, though, was not gained.

Police are also investigating the theft of five fire extinguishers from buses parked in a garage on Church Hill Road.

Police said the thefts were reported early Wednesday, and reportedly happened sometime before July 26.

The fire extinguishers are valued at $370.
