Blotter: Three Cited After Fight on Soccer Field, Burglary Reported, Drug Charges Filed

Police said the fight started over a call on the soccer field.

Three men were cited for disorderly conduct after Peters Township police officers were summoned to a fight on a soccer field in Peterswood Park Saturday afternoon.

Police said the fight had ended by the time officers arrived, but that witnesses—including an off-duty state trooper—indicated that coaches were arguing over a call and soon there were people from both teams on the field, using obscenities.

Police said Chad Carreto of Monessen, Kenneth Dinwiddie of Uniontown, and Sean Abraham of Oakmont will be charged with disorderly conduct.

The charges will proceed by summons, police said.

Police said someone from the soccer tournament called police around 9:15 a.m. Saturday to report that the lock on the shed was no longer there, and that someone had taken the cooler, candy and other food items.

The items stolen were reportedly worth about $250.
