Peters police have charged a township woman with aggravated assault, simple assault following an alleged incident Saturday in her 123 Brookdale Circle home.

Police said Cynthia Bouchard was arguing with her brother in her home when she allegedly attacked him with a knife.

She was arrested Sunday and arraigned before district Judge James Ellis. She was released on her own recognizance. 

Ethnic Intimidation Reported
Police are investigating a report of ethnic intimidation in the township.

Police said a couple have reported phone calls in which they are called derogatory terms.

The remarks made were about the couple's religion, police said.

The complaint was filed Friday afternoon.

Police are investigating. No further information was immediately available.

Cab Driver Reportedly Stiffed
A cab driver called police early Sunday morning for a report of theft of services.

He said he drove a man to a home in the 100 block of Phillips Avenue, where the man appeared to have entered a side door.

The cab driver told police the man never emerged from the home to pay his $28 fare.

When officers arrived, they summoned the man living at the home only to discover that it was not the same person who was given a ride home.

Police are investigating.
