Child Suffers Minor Injury in East McMurray Crash

The crash happened Tuesday afternoon.

A five-year-old girl suffered a minor injury after a vehicle crash just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Peters Township police said Ashley Bodner, 27, of Washington, was travelling on East McMurray Road near Holly Drive when the vehicle in front of hers suddenly stopped.

She told officers that she swerved to avoid a collision, which is when her vehicle struck a pole.

No other injuries were reported, according to police.

The crash tied up traffic in the area, and prompted the Peters Township School District to issue an alert to parents indicating that some elementary students' bus rides home may have been delayed because of it.
