Drug Take Back Initiative Date Announced in Peters

Have unwanted or expired medication in your home? Let the Peters Township Police Department dispose of the stuff for you. Here's how.

The Peters Township Police Department is again participating in The National Drug Take Back Initiative—and the date to drop off your unwanted and expired medications is quickly approaching.

The next collection date is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, according to the township website

Police officers will be manning collection sites in Peters Township at several locations—and they remind residents that medications in pill or liquid form will be accepted.

Officers will not accept needles or epi-pens.

Can’t make the date? The township also reminds residents that the police department keeps a drop-box in the lobby of the station for residents to dispose of unwanted medications.
