UPDATE: Fallen Tree Causes Major Power Outage Nearby

Crews in Upper St. Clair and Bethel Park restored power by 1:25 p.m. Friday.

All power is back on in Upper St. Clair and Bethel Park after a fallen tree caused a major outage late Friday morning.

The outage began at 10:51 a.m. and affected 650 customers, according to West Penn Power.

Bethel Park police told Patch the outage affected the "whole north end of Bethel Park."

A number of traffic lights were out along Washington and Fort Couch roads, causing for some confusion amongst motorists.

Businesses in Norman Centre II were without power.  was also affected by the outage; its Internet was not working.
