Four children, including a newborn baby, were killed early Saturday morning in a raging fire that consumed eight Philadelphia homes and displaced 42 people.
The victims have been identified as twin 4-year-old sisters Maria and Marialla Bowah; Patrick Sanyeah, 4; and Taj Jacque, a boy born May 18, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
The fire broke out near the intersections of 65th and Gesner streets in southwest Philadelphia around 2:40 a.m., NBC 10 reported. Eight homes were destroyed before the fire was brought under control, displacing at least 42 people.
More than 100 firefighters and 28 trucks responded to the blaze, the Inquirer said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, both the Inquirer and NBC said.
