Jewelry Reported Stolen in Peters Township Burglary

Necklaces. Rings. Bracelets.

All stolen.

A Peters woman told township police Saturday morning that someone had broken into her home in the 400 block of Bower Hill Road and stole numerous pieces of jewelry.

The woman, who was not named by police, said at least $1,700 worth of jewelry was stolen sometime in the last several weeks, when she was away.

"That's a very low estimate," Peters police Chief Harry J. Fruecht said, adding that there were 60 rings alone that had been stolen—and that the value of those items was not known.

No further information was immediately available.

Anyone with information regarding the burglary is encouraged to call the Peters Township Police Department at 724-942-5030.
