Man Injured in Two-Car Crash

A Pittsburgh man was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Washington Road and Old Oak Road in Peters Township.

Peters Township police said James Nene of New Stanton told police he was stopped at a red light around 5 p.m. Saturday when he was rear-ended by the driver of a tractor trailer.

The tractor-trailer driver, later identified as Matthew McCue, of Illinois, though, told police that the light had turned green and that Nene did not proceed through.

One of Nene's three passengers, Thomas M. Joyce, suffered unknown injuries in the crash.

Police said no charges would be filed against either driver.
