McMurray Doctor Charged with Illegally Distributing Painkillers

Dr. Oliver W. Herndon was charged in U.S. District Court Friday.

A McMurray doctor has been charged in federal court with the unlawful distribution of two prescription painkillers.

Dr. Oliver W. Herndon was charged Friday in U.S. District Court. He was arrested and then released on $50,000 bond, the Post-Gazette has reported.

The criminal complaint said that in recent months Gateway Rehabilitation Center saw an increase in patients who were addicted to Opana—which is a name brand for oxymorphone, according to the newspaper.

After going to an ear nose and throat doctor, a respiratory specialist, 3 primary care doctors Dr Herndon found (within 5 minutes) a mass on my thyroid. I had surgery in less then a week and I could breath again. As a RN I have never seen a better diagnostician. I will always stand with him.
