Mary Beth complained of chest, head and shoulder pain, and Peague complained of head and neck pain, police said. Kevin, the passenger, complained of pain in his waist and facial injuries.

A UPMC spokeswoman said Wednesday afternoon that Kevin Krause had been discharged and that Mary Beth Krause was listed in fair condition.

According to police, Krause's vehicle was stopped in the left northbound turning lane at the intersection of Route 19 and Gallery Drive. Peague's vehicle was stopped directly behind Krause's.

Schaefer failed to stop his vehicle at the red light driving southbound, crossed the center double yellow line, striking Krause's vehicle. Krause's vehicle then hit Peague's, and Schaefer's car continued to travel, striking Peague's car as well, police said.

Peague's car ended up in the empty La-Z-Boy lot, according to police.
