McMurray Woman Jailed on Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Charges

The woman remained in Washington County Jail Monday after being unable to post a $25,000 straight bond last week.

A McMurray woman remained in the Washington County Jail on Monday after being arrested by Peters Township police last week on two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said that Alicia Schultz, 27, of 168 Kimber Drive, was at the Peters Township Public Library waiting for a ride home from her mother on Thursday.

Although Schultz was reportedly to meet her mother at the library originally, the woman found her daughter walking along East McMurray Road.

Police said that after a verbal exchange between the two women, the mother discovered two syringes in Schultz' possession and turned them over to the police.

Police said officers then took Schultz into custody, charging her with the possession of paraphernalia offenses.

She was arraigned before district Judge James Ellis and remanded to the Washington County Jail after being unable to post the $25,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear before Ellis at 11 a.m. May 1 for a preliminary hearing.

Police said Schultz had been previously charged with other drug-related offenses, as well.

Online court records indicate that she had been charged with more than 20 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia last month.
