Missing Canonsburg Woman Found Dead in Rostraver

The since April 28 has been found dead in a Westmoreland County mall parking lot.

Authorities found the body of in a parked car shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday, Canonsburg police Sgt. Don Cross said. The car was parked outside a Gabriel Brothers clothing store in Rostraver Township.

“At this point, we don’t know what happened or how it occurred,” Cross said.

He said Hickerson’s family has been notified and Rostraver police are continuing to investigate the death. Cross said an autopsy by the Westmoreland County coroner was expected to be performed today.

He added that Canonsburg police are working with investigators from Rostraver to get more details on the death.

“They have not indicated fully what the investigation found,” he said.

Hickerson, who lived with her mother, was last seen near Hutchinson Avenue in Canonsburg on April 28.

Rostraver police said no foul play is suspected at this time, but are awaiting the results of an autopsy and toxicology tests to determine the cause of death.
