Peters Police Continue Search for Armed Man
A man threatened Dr. Oliver Herndon and his medical staff at gunpoint in Waterdam Plaza just before 6 p.m. Monday.
are continuing the search for an armed man who of a medical office located at 1000 Waterdam Plaza in McMurray.
Just before 6 p.m. on Monday, a man—donning dark clothing head to toe—entered the medical building and walked directly to the back of the office demanding money from a female employee of Dr. Oliver Herndon's, police said.
"He confronted the employee with a black handgun," Capt. Michael Yanchak told Patch. "At that time, Dr. Herndon came in and confronted the suspect. He did the logical thing, explaining to the suspect that doctor's offices rarely have much cash."

Yanchak told us the conversation between the suspect and the doctor continued as the suspect walked backward through the office toward the front door.
"At that point, the suspect fled," he said.

The suspect left with nothing.
Police are searching for someone who meets this description:
- White male
- Wearing black/dark clothing and a watch cap with the eyes cut out
- Wearing black gloves, a long sleeve shirt and dark pants
