Teen Briefly Jailed on Burglary, Theft Charges Out of Peters

Peters Township police said the charges stem from an alleged Aug. 30 incident.

A Lawrence teenager spent a brief time in the Washington County Jail earlier this week after Peters Township police charged her with theft and burglary.

Police said Kaylin Lyon, 18, is accused of stealing a camera and jewelry from a residence in the 200 block of Church Hill Road. That burglary, police said, was originally reported on Aug. 30.

After an investigation, police said Lyon ultimately confessed to the alleged burglary and theft.
