Teenagers Spray Paint Parents’ Homes in Attempt to Cover Crime

Peters police say they plan to prosecute four Peters Township teenagers for vandalizing 13 structures and 10 cars in the Village of Hackett last Friday.

say they plan to prosecute four teenagers—one male and three females—for vandalizing a hefty amount of structures and cars last Friday.

Thirteen structures—including houses, sheds, garages and a mailbox—and 10 cars were sprayed with black, purple, pink and gold spray paint, according to Peters police.

Chief Fruecht told Patch two of the vandals targeted their own homes in attempt to "divert suspicion."

The incident persisted until 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 30. The teenagers range in age from 14 to 17 years old.

Chief Fruecht said they plan to prosecute with charges of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

He’s inviting any victims to call the police station at 724-942-5030 to report vandalism and property damage.
