Update: Three People Injured in Route 19 Car Crash

Both drivers and a passenger were taken to "various local hospitals Tuesday," police said.

Drivers Michael Zielinski and Frank Suska, and passenger John Oliver, were taken to "various local hospitals Tuesday," police said, following a two-car crash in front of Simmons Farm Market on Route 19.

Zielinski, 56, of Grandview Avenue in Carnegie, his son David, 24, and John Oliver, 51, of Grienbrier Drive in Carnegie, were driving southbound on Route 19 in the left lane in a Buick LeSabre, when their vehicle and a Mercury Marquis, driven by Frank Suska, 83, of Hemlock Drive in McMurray, made impact.

Suska was leaving Simmons Farm Market, but did not have well recollection of which direction he was heading, police said.

Police said they believe he was turning south on Route 19 to return to his home.

The impact of the vehicles hit in a perfect T, police said. Zielinski's vehicle was pushed up on the curb of 's parking lot.

"It's an amazing thing nobody else was involved," said police Capt. Michael Yanchak. "That's a heavy traffic time."

The ambulances left the scene Tuesday heading north—we suspect to St. Clair Hospital, police said. 

Police Chief Harry Fruecht confirmed the scene was clear within an hour of the accident.
