Venetia Man Jailed on Burglary Charges

Corey Grabowski was also charged with loitering at night.

A Venetia man was jailed Monday after being charged by Peters Township police for two felony counts of burglary and one count of loitering at night.

Corey Grabowski, 23, was arraigned on the charges by district Judge James Ellis and remanded to the Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond, online court records show.

Peters Township police said Grabowski allegedly broke into the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce building and stole a laptop computer. Police said he also broke into a nearby dental office and stole $200.

Police apprehended Grabowski when a resident called early Sunday morning to report a man walking through a rear yard dressed in all black, police said.

Grabowski is scheduled to appear before Ellis for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 11.

As of Tuesday afternoon, he was still listed as an inmate at the Washington County Jail.
