Veteran Trainer Suffers Severe Concussion at The Meadows

The man has been released from the hospital.

Veteran trainer and driver Rod Bolon has been released from Allegheny General Hospital after suffering a severe concussion and torn neck ligaments in a training mishap at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino in North Strabane, according to the Post-Gazette.

Bolon was flown to the hospital in a medical helicopter following the accident on Friday.

His ligaments will reportedly heal without surgery, but additional testing will take place once concussion symptoms diminish.
