W. Virginia Woman Briefly Jailed for Theft in Peters

Zoe Lee McQuain was briefly remanded to the Washington County Jail Friday.

A Moundsville, W.Va., woman was briefly jailed this past weekend after Peters Township police charged her with retail theft.

Zoe Lee McQuain, 31, was arraigned before district Judge Robert Redlinger Friday, who remanded her to the Washington County Jail after she was unable to post a $5,000 bond, online court records show.

She was no longer listed as an inmate there Monday.

McQuain is scheduled to appear before district Judge James Ellis at 1:45 p.m. Oct. 23, according to court dockets.

A call to the Peters Township Police Department for further information on the incident was not returned.
