Council Votes to Install Turf at Peterswood Park

On Monday, Peters Council voted to spend nearly $900K to install artificial turf on a local soccer field.

According to the Post-Gazette, Council voted on Monday to spend $895,430 to install artificial turf on a soccer field—equivalent to two full-size football fields—at . 

A partnership with the township's youth soccer league was formed to help defray costs, according to the newspaper. 

The partnership and project calls for the Peters Township Soccer Association to pay the township $240,000 over three years, the newspaper reports. On Monday, PT received its first $100,000 installment from the organization.
