Good Friday, Easter: What's Open, What's Closed

Today, March 28, is Good Friday and Easter is on Sunday, March 31.

With a major holiday weekend comes closings of area institutions and businesses. Here's a rundown of what's open or closed:

• Peters Township offices are closed on Good Friday.
• Washington County offices are closed on Good Friday.
• The Peters Township Public Library is closed on Good Friday and Easter.
• The Peters Township Community Recreation Center is closed on Good Friday and Easter.
• The Peters Township School District is closed for spring break. 
• Giant Eagle will close at 4 p.m. on Easter.
• South Hills Village will be closed on Easter.
• The McMurray Post Office is open on Good Friday.
• Port Authority's bus, T and incline service will follow regular weekday schedules on Good Friday, but the Downtown Service Center on Smithfield Street will be closed in observance of the holiday. On Saturday and Easter Sunday, the transit service will follow Saturday and Sunday schedules, respectively.
