Have You Checked Out the New Washington County Website Design?

The new site went live last month and includes more information and accessibility.

Washington County’s Department of Information Technology recently unveiled its newly designed website—one that includes more information, accessibility to government services, and allows better communication with the residents.

“Although we have been working on the site for quite some time, we consider this unveiling as only the beginning of a new era focusing on citizen feedback, E-government services, community involvement, and communication and interaction with citizens keeping them up to date on the workings and offerings of the county’s government,” to Donald Cortese, the county’s chief information officer said.

He added: “The ability of this web design to grow and evolve into one of the great resources of our county has always been our ultimate goal,”

Some of the new features incorporated into the county portal include:   

  • Residents can create a profile, and request notifications based on their interests. 
  • Community members can also customize the way they receive information.
  • Residents can receive community alerts, issue requests and report conditions through the citizen request tracker.        
  • County agencies can upload videos, departmental news, list facilities, maintain a staff directory, and provide access to documents and agendas for public access.
