Peters Township has transferred a liquor license to the new Center Plate Café restaurant.

Council during its Monday night reorganization meeting agreed to transfer the existing liquor license from the defunct Sinatra's Trattoria & Pizza restaurant previously at the Center Church Road location.

Center Plate, which is owned by Penny Folino and her boyfriend, Lenny Radziewicz, opened in October after customers were disappointed about the closure of Penny’s Diner on Route 19 McMurray.

Customers previously were allowed to bring their own beer to the restaurant.
