Local Bridges to Receive Quick Maintenance

PennDOT District 12 would like to let local motorists know that various bridges in Washington, Fayette, Greene and Westmoreland counties will undergo bridge bearing cleanings starting this week.

This process extends the life of the bearings that support a bridge at the pier and carry the weight of the bridge. 

During this process, motorists may encounter changing traffic patterns near bridges and need to be alert to changes. Those repairs in Washington County will occur from Thursday through May 9.

This work is being done as part of a $93,880 contract with Green Acres, Inc.
