McLaughlin Run Bridge Now Open

PennDOT announced the Bridgeville crossing opened today.

announced the McLaughlin Run Bridge reopened today after being closed for seven months.

The Bridgeville span that connects  to Upper St. Clair has been under construction in the $800,000 rehabilitation project to widen the bridge and increase its weight capacity.

The crossing originally closed in early April so crews could remove the single-lane bridge and replace it with a wider one that can sustain heavier traffic. It originally was supposed to reopen in September, but there were some early delays while crews relocated nearby utilities.
