Newcomer Ron Dunleavy Wins Republican and Democrat School Board Nominations

Dunleavy is seeking one of five seats on the Peters Township School Board.

Nearly all school board incumbents secured a seat in the fall election. However, incumbent Julie Ann Sullivan was not successful in her bid to be a Republican nominee.

Newcomer Ron Dunleavy secured 14 percent of the nominations from both parties and will be seeking one of five seats in the fall election.

"I feel good," he said. "It was a tight primary, especially considering the bad weather. Hopefully, I'll be able to do as well in November."

Dunleavy has started to think about his strategy in the fall.

"I plan to look at all of the precincts and how they came in," he said. "Then, evaluate where I need to concentrate my best efforts at. Looking at that shows you how you did in certain districts and where you need to spend more time."
