North Strabane Hires Full-Time Fireman
Chris Chiprich joins the North Strabane crew Monday.
North Strabane supervisors last week unanimously hired Chris Chiprich as a full-time fireman.
Chiprich will begin his employment with the North Strabane Township Fire Department Monday, where he will earn $17.50 an hour with full benefits. He will be subject to a six-month probation period.
"Welcome to the family," board Chairman Greg Sulc said after the vote.

Fire Chief Mark Grimm called the hire "huge."
"Our township is growing so rapidly," he said.

Formerly a part-time fireman at Peters Township, Chiprich attended the meeting last week with his wife and daughter.
