Peters Council Approves New Interim Stop Sign

The interim move is to help control traffic when the Valley Brook intersection closes next week.

Peters Township Council approved the installation of an interim stop sign at the intersection of Rock Run Road southbound and Proffer Road, according to The Almanac.

Council members hope the sign will help control traffic when the Valley Brook Road and Route 19 intersection closes on May 22.

Township Manager Michael Silvestri also proposed stop signs along Gallery Drive northbound and on Stonebrook Drive facing Hoover Lane, however, the council did not approve the motions, according to the report.

Council stated it will review other signs as needed. Members felt that implementing all of them prior to the closure was premature, but did not rule our other signs, Silvestri said.
