Peters Township Council Selects New Chairman

Peters Township Council appointed Frank Arcuri as the new chairman during its Monday night reorganization meeting.

Peters Township Council appointed a new chairman during its Monday night reorganization meeting.

The council unanimously selected Frank Arcuri as chairman. He will replace Robert Lewis in the position.

“I want to thank everyone,” Arcuri said after switching seats with Lewis.

The member also unanimously voted to select James Berquist as the vice chairman. He replaces Gary Stiegel.

There were few other changes during the council’s reorganization meeting.

The council also voted to keep William Johnson as solicitor. Township Manager Michael Silvestri said he’s been working in that capacity since 1978.

The meetings will continue on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 7 p.m. The council will change its voting meetings and hold them on May 28 and Dec. 16 due to holidays.
