Rep. Tim Murphy on President Obama's Budget Plan

Murphy said Obama's budget plan should be titled 'Blueprint for Bankruptcy.'

"The president's budget plan should be titled 'Blueprint for Bankruptcy,'" Murphy said in a press release. "It includes more spending, more regulations, more deficits, more borrowing and higher taxes. Add in the hundreds of billions in stimulus spending on housing bailouts and urban renewal projects, and it is a recipe for economic failure.

"The American economy simply can't afford the president's budget, especially when he intends to keep in place the massive new health care law with its 2,000 new federal powers administered by 159 boards, panels and commissions. Without a doubt, his trillion-dollar health care train wreck is going to saddle everyone with massive debt and blow a hole in our economy.

"I hope the president will reconsider this 'Blueprint for Bankruptcy,' and instead, join me in advancing a pro-growth agenda. We can put millions of Americans back to work and get capital flowing by starting to roll back the 4,257 regulations sapping money from the economy, holding our global trading partners accountable and approving projects like the  that utilize North American energy resources and free us from OPEC's clutches."
