Reps. Maher, Costa Honor Local Public Television Icon

This week, Bethel Park native Rick Sebak was honored.

(R-Allegheny/Washington) and (D-Allegheny) were the lead sponsors of a House Resolution honoring Bethel Park native and public television icon Rick Sebak.

Sebak, who is the acknowledged creator of the "scrapbook documentary" genre, has earned national acclaim and local viewers with dozens of WQED documentaries about interesting subjects, including Kennywood Days and "Things That Aren't There Anymore."

Sebak grew up in the South Hills and graduated from Bethel Park High School. His mother, Peggy, served on the Bethel Park School Board for most of the '90s.
