Rob Balogh Wins Republican Nomination for Coroner

Balogh will face incumbent Tim Warco in the fall.

Rob Balogh secured the Republican nomination for the office of Washington County coroner, securing 57.5 percent of the vote, according to unofficial election results.

"It feels good and I'm looking forward to a tough race in the fall," , of North Strabane Township, said Tuesday night.

He said he was happy that both Republican candidates ran positive campaigns, and he congratulated challenger Mark Adams on a well-fought race.

"He ran a quality campaign, and I think he is a quality individual," Balogh said.

He will face off against Democrat Tim Warco, the longtime incumbent, in November's general election.

Adams could not immediately be reached for comment late Tuesday.
