Thursday, more than 733 Bower Hill students read the same book as students across the country to raise awareness.

On Thursday, students at  took part in Jumpstart’s Read for the Record, a national campaign to promote literacy and early childhood education.

Students across the country read the same book to raise awareness and for a chance at breaking last year’s world record for a shared reading experience of more than two million students.

This year, guest readers were invited into the Bower Hill classrooms to read the children’s classic Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney to the students and set the Bower Hill tally at more than 733 students for the Read for the Record.
