Peters Township High School Dance Teams Clutch First Place

Varsity also took home the Universal Dance Association's Sportsmanship Award.

On Sunday, JV and varsity dance teams won first place in their divisions at Slippery Rock University's Universal Dance Association (UDA) Cheer/Dance competition.

The varsity girls also won the Sportsmanship Award and their coach, Dominique Deliere-Shuster, took home the Choreography Award. 

Upper St. Clair was an opponent in the teams' divisions and both wins were for a hip-hop routine.

The girls head to another competition this Saturday. Nationals, held in Orlando, Fla., are scheduled for February. .

Dominique Deliere-Shuster and Barb Deliere, PTHS Spanish teacher, lead the varsity girls; Megan Chicone and Ashlee Olivo lead JV.
