Peters Township is also the highest-ranking school district in Washington County, according to the published report. The move to the top 10 spot in Pennsylvania was an improvement from a 13th overall ranking last year.
At the grade-level rankings, Peters Township also scored among the top five in the region in the 7th, 8th and 11th grades.
Compared to other school districts in the region, Peters was fifth behind Upper St. Clair, North Allegheny, Mt. Lebanon and Hampton.
The top 10 ranking statewide by the Pittsburgh Business Times comes less than a month after the Pennsylvania State Department of Education ranked Peters Township among the leaders statewide with percentage of graduations. In that report, the Peters Township School District led all schools in the region. Refer back to our story .
