Elementary Students Experts at WordMasters Challenge

Two Peters Township students scored perfectly in a national language arts competition.

Two students from have earned highest honors on recent WordMasters challenges.

fifth-grader Julianna Chen and third-grader Bridgette Shock both earned a perfect score.

Across the nation, these students were two of 224 fifth-graders and 83 third-graders to earn this distinction.

WordMasters is a language arts competition that encourages critical thinking and vocabulary development.

Students at McMurray were coached by teacher Elizabeth Clark. At Bower Hill, the students were coached by the third-grade teachers and enrichment facilitator Joe Bratetich.
