Where?/When?: Mt Lebanon United Methodist Church, 9 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church Fall Rummage Sale will feature appliances, clothing, household goods, recreational equipment and more.

Where?/When?: Home Depot, Saturday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Why Go?: The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children. In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons and an achievement pin. This week's project is a Veterans Day Picture Frame.

Why Go: It’s a great opportunity for your child to practice reading! Grades one and up are invited to come read to registered therapy dogs. The kids will love spending time with theses cuddly canines! Call to sign up. More information is available in the link above.

Why Go?: Both the Peters Township High School Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer Teams advanced to the WPIAL championships which will take place at . The girls' game will take place at 3:30 p.m. against Upper St. Clair and the boys' will follow at 5:45 p.m., also against USC. Tickets will only be sold at the gate at Baldwin High School that day. Come and cheer on both teams as they try to bring both championships to Peters.
Pricing: Student tickets are $5 and adult tickets are $7

Where?/When?: , 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The 's largest fundraiser of the year is scheduled for Nov. 5. All proceeds benefit the many philanthropies that the club supports. This year’s event will be held at and will include a live auction; silent auction; Chinese auction; plus, wine tasting; dancing to the music of Steve Fazzini and his band; and the ever popular golf ball toss.
Pricing: Tickets are $55 a piece and includes a buffet dinner.

Why Go?: Annual event of "Pampering Women to help Women" raises funds to benefit the UPMC Cancer Patients Assistance Fund. Area salon professionals are donating their time giving hair cuts, manicures, massage, reiki and waxing for a nominal fee. Purchase a light lunch at the Pink Pamper Cafe. Shop at the many vendors featuring shoes, clothing, purses, home decor and more! Give blood with the Central Blood Bank or get a mammogram with Tiffany Breast Care Center Mobil unit. Donate your old cell phone to benefit the Domestic Violence Services of SWPA. Happy hour will follow with a Chinese auction and Silent auction.

Why Go: This book launch party is for "Wilson Learns Manners" by author Susan Castriota from Upper St. Clair. Children will enjoy the sweet, charming illustrations of Wilson and love the true story of the resilient dog rescued from an animal shelter. Proceeds from the book will benefit the Peters Township Public Library. Learn more about the book .
