The scholarships are given to the awardees after the successful completion of their freshman year of college.

After completing that year, the awardees and their parents attend a club meeting to tell us about their experiences and receive their scholarship award.

The scholarship selection process is open to all Peters Township High School seniors.

The committee bases its selection on a combination of academic achievement, community service and financial need, according to the club's website.

Students submit their applications through the high school guidance office, and are due by the end of April. Interviews will be held in May.
